Building Inclusive Tech: Strategies for Retention, Growth, and Recognition

An Industry Round Table, hosted by the People’s Postcode Lottery addressing the above theme through short presentations and lively discussion.

How can we ensure we are retaining the diverse talent we have? 

What initiatives around recognition of contribution, promotion of allyship, and celebration of achievements have the biggest impact?

The session will be chaired by Sarah Thomson: Having worked in a variety of Tech related roles for over 25 years, Sarah Thomson leads the Tech department at People’s Postcode Lottery. As Head of Tech UK, Sarah’s role is to oversee the development, delivery, maintenance and support of the technology that enables the local Business, and to work together with peers in the other markets within the Postcode Lottery Group to align the technology, tooling and ways of working required to deliver the Postcode Lottery Group Tech strategy.

Format: In-person. Short roundtable presentations will be delivered to ignite further discussions and sharing of ideas and experiences under Chatham House Rules. Key takeaways will be reported unattributed. Time for informal 1-2-1 conversation is built into the event timings. 

Who is it for: 

This event is open to employers in the Scottish tech community interested in improving gender balance within their organisation. Discussion will be particularly pertinent to team leaders and business managers.
