What to expect
SP Energy Networks are thrilled to launch the Ada Scotland Festival at their Head Quarters, hosting an exciting and interactive experience where pupils and teachers can explore the dynamic world of energy networks.
Working in teams, pupils will tackle a series of realistic scenarios as they race against the clock to respond to a high-stakes power outage. Guided by SP Energy Networks experts, participants will collaborate to identify threats, develop solutions and help protect critical infrastructure.
Through this immersive escape room-style challenge, pupils will gain insight into the vital role technology plays in keeping energy networks safe, resilient and reliable. This session will showcase the diverse range of technology careers within the energy industry and demonstrate how technical skills can be used to solve real-word problems, all while engaging in a fun, hands on learning experience alongside SP Energy Networks colleagues.
Objectives: break down barriers to tech careers; provide access to relatable role models; deliver hands-on experiences to demystify tech careers; create a sustainable pipeline of diverse talent.
