This year’s Ada Scotland Festival launch event is hosted by our headline sponsors, Barclays, at the new Barclays Glasgow Campus. Highlights include a welcome from Lorna Slater MSP, Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity, and talks from Jacqui McDonald, Barclays Group Finance CIO and Scotland DEI Lead, and Sarah Rashid, Barclays Women in Technology Sponsor. We’ll also have a keynote from Frances Sneddon, CTO at Simul8.

We’re also delighted to offer invited school pupils an exclusive tour of the Barclays X Lab, interactive Code Playground sessions, and the first ever group tour of the exciting new Eagle Lab – the Barclays Glasgow high technology lab where “the magic begins”. There will also be Q&A sessions, networking, and goodie bags!

About the X Lab

The X Lab offers a range of different work space types, underpinned by technology, expert behavioural analysis and coaching. It is designed to encourage Barclays colleagues to try something new – it will feel different, exciting and will require people to enter with an open mind. It is also known as the ultra-collaboration space that Barclays Glasgow created for colleagues to work more efficiently and effectively as a team with a lot of fun!
