Barclays presents: Let’s Chat… with Sarah Rashid

To kick off Barclays virtual events at the Ada Scotland Festival 2022, Barclays Women in Technology network are hosting an informal chat with one of our senior leaders in Glasgow. This session will provide an opportunity to hear from Sarah Rashid – Director of Strategic Regulatory Change Private Bank and sponsor of our Women in Technology Network. During this session Sarah will discuss her career journey so far, the transition from coming out of university with a degree in Computing Science to working as a PMO in Regulatory Change. She will share some of the decisions she has made to get to this point in her career, things she has enjoyed and the challenges she has faced. Sarah will also touch upon her personal interest in Women in Tech, and any advice she has for women entering into a tech career.

Sarah has recently taken up the role of sponsor for Women in Technology Scotland. She will work with the committee to identify focus areas and opportunities to deliver as part of our agenda.​

Sarah joined Barclays as Director for Strategic Regulatory Change in November 2021. In her role she is accountable for partnering with the Private Bank business, and colleagues in COO to define and transform our approach to regulatory change. After completing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and a postgraduate in Information Management she joined the graduate programme at Lloyds Banking Group. Sarah undertook numerous roles in transformational change across various teams globally with her time at Lloyds including working both in Tokyo and Berlin. Her most recent role was as Lab Product Owner for Core Platforms in Insurance & Wealth.  Sarah collaborated with the business to determine their future use of the Group’s Core Platform technology to improve both the customer and colleague experience. ​

Prior to this role Sarah was Head of Digital and Design for Motor Finance where she lead a multi skilled team to develop digital customer propositions for Motor. Sarah is keen to use her experience to approach differently how we shape and deliver Regulatory Change and support the team in achieving our overall goals.
