YES Digital Enterprise Challenge

26th – 30th October 2020

A partnership between Young Enterprise Scotland & Scotland’s Enterprising Schools. Supported by The Scottish Tech Army.

Inspiring young people to consider careers in digital technology, this exciting interdisciplinary challenge emphasises tech for good and the opportunities and obstacles of running a business.

S1 – S3 students will work collaboratively to design an innovative app, applying their skills throughout and culminating with a pitch to a board of imaginary investors to secure vital “stake money” for their start-up.

Winning teams will represent their schools at national level, where a panel of judges from industry, education and the third sector will award a range of prestigious prizes.

This programme is designed to be delivered over one full day, or split over the course of three sessions. You can take part at any point during the challenge week to suit your school – just make sure that your submissions are made by 5pm on Friday 30th October!

Mapped to the Curriculum for Excellence at Third and Fourth Levels, and aligned with the Career Education Standard (3-18), pupils will look at using digital tech to solve problems; branding; enterprise skills; cyber-crime; and the impact that technology in business can have on society, the economy and the environment.
