My name is Lixin Su, I moved to Glasgow from China ten years ago. After working in the world of hospitality in sales and marketing for many years, I decided to change my career direction. My technology journey began with taking a software development course at Glasgow City College. At the end of one-year study, the opportunity of Barclays apprenticeship program was introduced to me. I joined the first cohort of Software Engineering Graduate Apprentices at University of Glasgow and graduated in 2023 with a first class honours degree. Now with my degree and five years of invaluable experience working in the bank, I thrive as a dedicated software engineer, continually exploring the tech world.
