School of Simulation and Visualisation @ The Glasgow School of Art

The School of Simulation and Visualisation at The Glasgow School of Art is active in research and teaching, creatively exploiting the interface between science, technology and the arts.

As an interdisciplinary technology based department within one of the world’s leading art schools, the School of Simulation and Visualisation offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with a much broader and more diverse appeal than traditional computing programmes.

Notably, our MSc in Visualisation, including pathways in Medical and Heritage Visualisation, introduces interactive application development to many students with backgrounds in humanties and medical and life sciences with no prior experience in this field.

Being in an art school also helps draw students who might not otherwise apply for a digital game technology programme to our undergraduate programmes.
